I thought that would be music that dogs would like

I'm sitting in Panera Bread in Westerville Ohio and lunchtime here is like a breeding ground...I'm not sure if it's the carbs or the mushroom soup but the young professionals are all over each other, bumping elbows casually and relating over their huuuuge bagels. My apple doesn't taste like anything! I just saw a woman on her way out the door say "You know this child isn't mine, I'm just babysitting" to the dashing Panera employee who helped her carry her bag. She added, "I don't know HOW my sister does this!" before she left. Overkill!

I dropped Grant off at the airport this morning for California, I'm going to miss him a lot.

I have recently discovered three radio stations that are perfect for summer listening- 93.3FM, WHKC 91.5FM and AM920. Within a touch of the seek button you can flip between the two FM stations which supply each and every pool jam from '92. I have barely heard any commercials on either of these stations, and the only interruptions on AM920 is the random "Hello" from a stranger named Michelle. My only complaint about 93.3 is the John Tesh show that airs sometime around 7 or 8 every weeknight.

I love 91.5, I've been listening to it non-stop! I'll have to try 93.3, haven't stumbled onto that one yet. I did get caught in a pretty bad Madonna block on 91.5 once, it wasn't even good old stuff either.

After leaving work tonight I realized that I had not one but two flat bike tires. The first cab driver refused to give me a ride, who was closely followed by two cop cars. I tried to wave one of the police officers down but they took my panic as a friendly hello and waved back, smiling. Maybe they read my previous post.

I will admit that it's been a tense weekend, bu not without it's moments of intense happiness. We lost a kitty this weekend here at Skylab, so please take a moment to remember Ghost.

I had planned on showing you funny photographs of everyday stuff but I've been shooting mostly film, which makes for more expensive funtime photos. I have an old Nikon point and shoot camera that has come in handy many many times, on many different trips, and after I process six rolls of film tomorrow you will know what I'm talking about.

I spent a few hours at Half Price books this afternoon in search of Valis by Philip K. Dick, ended up buying "White Noise", "Snaps" by Elliott Erwitt and a Martin Parr photo book. While browsing an old man handed me a half off coupon, apparently he wasn't having any luck finding something he'd like to read. While sitting in the fiction paperback section I overheard two older gamer types discussing the flaws of their character traits. I wish I had something to quote, but they were talking loudly and eventually I snapped and asked them to be quiet. I think I might've scared them. But really, come on, they we talking about the New Harry Potter book and giving away the ending. That's wrong!

Old gamers rule!

You like Philip K. Dick? You're more awesome than I had known before!

The security word verification at the bottom of this comment box is "zoflwrab". That sounds like an AIM addict's cool new abbreviation.

You can borrow my copy of Valis if you want. I'll drop it by the Carabar unless you MUST own it, cuz you can't HAVE it.

I was almost arrested today when I walked through a police line, which, according to the columbus police officer that approached me, is an arrestable offense. Not only am I perplexed by his obvious frustration with me, but I am also confused as to why he found is necessary to point out that, "Walking through a police line is an arrestable offense." I was just trying to get home after spending some time with my friend Donny and his new baby Max. I shared this with him, but he didn't seem to care. He should care, because Max is very cute, and if he's not caring about cute babies now that means he's never going to care about them, and that means that his own children will grow up to break the law and disappoint their law enforcing dad.

There are helicopters flying all over downtown, tiles are falling from the building on the corner onto the street, as illustrated above.

Today I went to the Easton mall in search of a few shirts to work in. I lost my glasses earlier this week, and might I tell you that walking into Forever 21 (or forevs as I like to call it) is somewhat nightmarish when everything is out of focus. Some might sy that it is nightmarish to begin with, and some are correct.

We had a dance party here at the house last night featuring a group called Club Lifestyles, a dance troupe that is touring around the country. When I came home there were twenty five people asleep on the floor and couches. This life is a very interesting one.

hewoah!

let's begin at the beginning! Before the beginning, when everything was either tiny or abnormally huge. And nothing talked. Do you ever feel like all of us talk way too much? There is a lot to be said about saying nothing at all.

So the other day my friend Greg came into the bar where I work and handed me a perfect little present, a tiny beautiful little thing that was pretty for two reasons:
1.It was carefully lined in contact paper that closely resembled the wood paneling that covers most of the walls in Athens, Ohio
2.It was very thoughtful.

I'm using my roommate Aaron Hibbs computer and it has a camera so I will attempt to take a photo, although the lighting is terrible in downtown at this time of day.

here is the track listing to this mix tape.

side a (wooden)
1.k3- puddle
2.happy home- bloated toads
3.false alarm- the lines
4.plastic gifts- the fire engine
5.in my area- the fall
6.ruby red- godz
7.sun before arises- ex-cocaine
8.sannigens silverflod- tradgras orchestra
9.ali ekber cicek
10.bad penny- forest
11.diana- comus
12. mr and mrs- the incredible string band

side b (wooden)

1.??DIY??
2.I hate music- mad
3.I wanna be rich- cold cock
4.holidays- desperate bicycles
5.entertainment- really red
6.where are my hormones- avant gardners
7.satisfaction- ?
8.secret place- the clean
9.sleep- this heat
10.kalte sterne- einstrurzende neubaten
11.future days- can

Although my friend Pete might think that this is crazy talk, I've been thinking a lot about combinations of monsters and contemporary personas. Creatures like, say, a cowboy werewolf or a rabbi vampire are fascinating.

That's me.

Holy crap! You! YOU! You live with the enigmatic Aaron Marshall Hibbs!

AWESOME! I love that guy! Wow. You're both very very lucky to live with one another.

Tell him I say hello and that I want his email address so that we can communicate again.

Also, tell him that if he doesn't want to communicate with me that "I'll show him like he's a piece of lettuce".
