What's wrong with being sexy?

As I was lying in bed today, during the six to eight minute period between the point at which I wake up to the time at which I drag my punk ass out of bed, I was examining the posters on my wall. I noticed that there was a distinct similarity between a couple of posters that I have of two of my favorite movies from the mid nineties. Here they are.

Although both of these films have very strong willed leading ladies, both posters feature the leading man standing tall, strong and proud as said love interest is on her knees with at least one arm wrapped around the leg of the leading man.

Seriously, now.

Just because these happen to be a couple of my favorite flicks, that doesn't make me a male chauvinist pig.

Really, I'm not!

You callin' me fat?

I finally bit the bullet and joined a fitness center this week. I scoped out a few of them online, and went with the one that seemed to suit my needs appropriately. I even joined online, as to avoid having to sit across the desk from some jackass who's trying to con me into choosing a plan that offers a bunch of crap that I don't really need.

I stopped by the gym yesterday, just to confirm my enrollment in person and pick up my membership card. It was a pretty quick process. They looked at my info and took my photograph. They then gave me my receipt, my card, and a complimentary t-shirt.

I must admit that I was less than enthusiastic to have the t-shirt. I don't feel much like being a walking advertisement for the establishment, and besides, I have enough t-shirts already. As I was walking to my car, it occured to me that I was not asked which size I wanted. I usually wear a size medium, because they are fairly snug on me. Although they have a way of accentuating my taco belly, that provokes me to try to improve my posture. When I looked at the tag of the t-shirt they gave me, I noticed that they had just gone ahead and given me an extra large.

Maybe they're trying to tell me something.

White Castle and Spam: Two great tastes that taste great together.

Not to be redundant around here, but I found this to be a bit odd.

A couple of blogs that I have posted within the past month have featured each of the following two subjects:

One: Spam emails.

Two: White Castle.

And now, a few weeks later, for the very first time in my life, I have received a spam email offering me a pretty nice deal at White Castle.

Note the nice little asterisk next to the word, "free". I didn't really bother looking into it any further, because even if there was any chance in the world that this offer were to be on the up and up...Would I really want it?

Tempting.

No.
