Never leave a grocery list behind.

I was getting ready to pick up some grapefruit juice and such at the Giant Eagle when I found this in my shopping cart.

It was news to me that grocery lists are actually pre-made with boxes for you to check off next to the items that you need as you pick them up, with cute little pictures of meats and fruits at the bottom. I usually just rely on a post-it note. If I didn't know any better, I would assume that the person who left this in my cart never even bought any of these items, because not a single one of them had been checked off. But then, they probably just didn't bother with that step of the whole process. I mean, what kind of a jackass wants to be seen carrying around a pen at the grocery store, checking stuff off of their list? I just hope that they didn't forget the cat litter.

Then, I turned it over, and this was what really did a number on me.

"Can o maters"?

"Mater juice"?

I didn't even know that "maters" were being made available in Columbus, much less at an establishment as reputable as the Giant Eagle.

Either way, it seems as though the author of this grocery list was gearing up to throw a ragin' kickass party.

I kinda' wish that they would have left their address on the list.
