I'd say that the Rutles are to the Beatles as Rod Parsley is to god, but that would be doing the Rutles a giant disservice. At least the Beatles liked the Rutles (and of course, the Beatles existed).

love the rutles. i like all the fake albums that they put on the record sleeve of that album, especially the french beach boys, which is the actual beach boys dressed up in french looking outfits. also, have you heard the galaxie 500 cover of "cheese and onions"? if you haven't, hear it!!!!!!!!!!!
i like how "cheese and onions" actually ends up sounding like oasis.
