The M's Are Busy MF'ers

Any New Dark Ager worth their weight in Friesian Colts knows that I am a huge fan of Chicago’s, The M’s. They of the incredibly infectious (and album-of-the-year-worthy) Future Women released in February on Polyvinyl.

Anyway, what’s the point? Oh yeah! The M’s!! They’re going on tour to support fellow Windy City’ers, Wilco, July 7th through July 16th, including a stop at the famed Ottawa Blues Fest.

They’re also playing Lollapalooza on August 5th and closing out their summer with Polyvinyl releasing their self-titled debut on 180 gram vinyl August 8th. It comes complete with a bonus 7-inch of the classic The Isley Brothers song “Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out”.

I wish I could close this little blurb announcing The M’s inclusion in Slum-B-Q 3, but unfortunately (or fortunately for them I’m sure) one of the blokes is getting married that weekend. Sounds like Kevin Elliott last year -- good thing he won't miss it this year -- oops, did I say too much?
