Frida Hyvönen: "The Modern"

Swedish songstress Frida Hyvönen will be offering up her intoxicating piano-based minimalia (I just made that word up – it means minimal, raw, beautiful, folksy noise in the vein of Joni Mitchell's Blue or Carole King's Tapestry) for the masses this July as Secretly Canadian will be releasing her debut album (recorded in the legendary Atlantis studio in Stockholm and co-produced with Jari Haapalainen) and she’ll be twinkling across the US with fellow-Swede & label-mate, Jens Lekman. This is a show that will definitely be worth checking out!
