In The Year 2008



Futurama will rise from the dead on standard cable. That’s right! A mere three years after Fox cancelled the Emmy-winning show it’s being reported that Comedy Central will revive the series with an order for 72 episodes over a five-year license term (although the new Futurama won't start until January 2008, when Cartoon Network's rights to the show run out).

Billy West, who will return for the new (old) endeavor, actually spilled the beans on this news back in March (when these rumors first started swirling), but they were just recently confirmed by the network.

Despite the healthy wait, this is still crapping-pants-worthy news for many fans. And remember, there’s always the feature film scheduled for next year to hold you over for a bit!

Now, if only they’d bring back Arrested Development and STELLA and Strangers with Candy and Diff'rent Strokes and and and...
