Update On The Boards Being Down

This is the message I got from our hosting provider:

Some of you are experiencing mysql connections not available. This is an update as to what has happened today and yesterday. Last week Psoft the control panel management and developers we use had a server hacked and thus had clients such as us passwords taken. We have 5-servers so far hacked and one was the backup server and the mysql server they wiped clean. Clients will have to upload their own backups of mysql that they created using our hosting control panel. Even though we do not guarantee the backups we will send out the three drives at 500 each and see what they can salvage from them We will send out the drives to see if the information can be recovered but that takes a few days. Having 5 servers at once is why we have not answered the hundreds of support calls on this. We are working on the CP database over the next few daysa and will removed all current tickets so if there are other issues other than this please create a new ticket.

I offer my apologies for this inconvenience.

To correct this from happening again we will give Psoft expiring passes when needed

NOTE: We will be removing all raid setups on servers and replacing them with replication servers. If one crashes the other server takes over so downtimes will be reduced to nil

This especially sucks considering we just launched the site, but stick with us and hopefully things will be straightened out sooner than later. I'll make a post letting everyone know the second the boards are functioning again.
